Good response. I have always wondered about this also. I remember reading some royalty terms back in 93/94. They came from analyst reports from Alex Brown, Volpe and H&Q. I am sure these folks have an excellent handle on this subject matter. I'll see if I can dig up the old reports for any info.

Also , Qualcomm will make money selling phones and chips to go into other folks phones, base stations and those ANITA things.

Mike, thanks for thinking before posting. I chose the word "exactly" with care because I do understand, in the very broadest sense, the isssue of royalties to QCOM.

Ah cheer up. You could be nude in this cold weather!!! Where the hell is El Nino, damn it. Fleas are pulling at my poor doggie hair trying to stay warm!!

They pay a royalty, but the fact is QCOM has the handest. OF course so will LU/Phillips and just about everyone else. Happy days!!!!!
