There is a huge difference between the "unemployment" rate and the "employment" rate. What percentage are looking for work , quit looking for work or never wanted to work and are not accounted for because they are not currently on of filing for unemployment or their benefits ran out.

B.S. The unemployment rate in the Seattle area is 5%.

Then why are the people in the article staying with the crappy jobs, and paying for their own food and parking?

Are you saying that the article is false?

If I had to make a choice on WHO is lying, YOU are the confirmed, proven LIAR.

Comrade Kenny...."B.S. The unemployment rate in the Seattle area is 5%"....

Comrade. Here is an easy question for a sharp :-) legal mind such as yours...Do those who are now on older minimum wage also receive social assistance like welfare? and if so would they lose this assistance with a higher minimum wage like 15.00/hr. ?

The Emerald City may witness the economic dangers of hiking the minimum wage to $15/hour sooner rather than later. SeaTac, a suburb of Seattle, hiked the minimum wagefor certain service industry employees to $15 at the beginning of the year, and there are already signs that the sudden increase is having a negative impact.
