Re: "copying"

I definitely think it's a good sign that Apple is fighting its deeply ingrained Not Invented Here Mentality. We have not seen enough shameless stealing of others' ideas. Sometimes it helps them avoid flash in the pan trends like netbooks, but sometimes it makes them miss out on consumer preferences like small tablets and large screen phones. Apple under Cook seems more willing to keep an open mind when it comes to ideas that were not invented here. There are plenty of smart people who aren't working at Apple.

You really have to credit the iPhone with creating the entire category. No, it wasn't first, but it was the heart of the real innovation that created consumer demand, and I think everyone would admit that it was a radical departure from everything that came before. So, isn't everyone else really copying Apple?

OMG brother you have finally jumped the shark with me. I consider myself very patient--I don't even have Zax on ignore--but you've finally lost me.

Either you are completely ignorant of the evolution of smart phones, or for some reason you are pretending to be (and I don't believe the latter). So basically you are a troll.

And an opportunity-missing one at that, because during the months and quarters you've been philosophically debating how many large-screen phones can dance on the head of a pin, you (and any poor fool who's been duped into listening to you) have missed out on awesome hellacious gains in Apple stock!

So it's been empirically shown that you are not a good stock trader; it's been circumstantially shown that you're here to fulfill some sort of personal desire to endlessly & pointlessly troll (review your poorly-considered comments during the WWDC as a good recent example).

Finally, months too late, I have you on ignore. Can't help noticing I'm not exactly the first, wonder why....
