White males have more educational, financial, and societal advantages than others, and that white males tend to hire white males.
What a load of shit - white males stay in school, study, are encouraged by their two parents, get good jobs and secure their own financial future. In turn they raise another generation to succeed as they did. The fact so few black males have the education to get hired is not societies fault. Black culture as it is today is a complete mess - success starts in the individual. Just like Asian, Indian and other groups in America - they do not allow a culture of failure and blame to run their lives - they struggle to succeed. They don't riot in the streets - destroying their own neighborhoods.

The societal issue is not one of society taking things away or a disadvantage today - but looking away as traditional black culture disintegrates and staying silent as it happens.

In some sense, yes. If there are basically no blacks in a town, it means that at some point they were actively excluded from living there.

I grew up in Beaumont Texas. It wasn't a sundown town. It always had a significant black population and the race riot they had in the 1940s made overt racism a indelicate subject. Not that they embraced racial equality, but it toned things way down.

But that wasn't true about the surrounding towns. Some, like Jasper, didn't have a sign but everyone knew it was. Vidor was very in your face about it. Google bloody vidor...

I don't see too many Asians in the NBA. Maybe at some point they were actively excluded from playing, AMIRITE?

Come on, dude, just because there's a lack of diversity in a given area doesn't mean there was an active conspiracy going on.

Bullshit... One of the primary reasons there is racism is that people like you make it a point to differentiate between members of the human race. What if there were no sub-classifications of the human race? Would we still have racism? What if you didn't have to "check a box?"
