Is Apple Stock a Short Sell?

According to 24/7 Wall St., Apple is now the third-highest shorted stock in the Nasdaq . To be clear,
this refers to the absolute number of shares sold short rather than the percentage of the float sold short.
Still, it's interesting to see that between the Aug. 29 and Sept. 15 settlement dates , the number of Apple
shares sold short jumped from just over 96 million to over 138 million.

This begs the question: Is it time to short Apple?

I'm fairly certain that in the long term these issues will be nonevents.

Also getting really tired of reading the same things repeatedly day after day.

The issues might be different but the message is the same and it has been consistently wrong since you showed up.

As a good friend of mine always says:

"Not judging, just saying".

Because how many people put their phone in their back pockets where one is more prone to sit on it. What do you do, take it out before sitting, hold it in your hand, and then put it back into the back pocket when one gets up. On the subway, if one travels by subway, take it out and hold it or put it in one of the side pockets when sitting down; then put it in the back pocket when getting up?

Expect trouble when put it in the back pocket but if the same thing happens when it's in the side pockets, then it is something one would not expect and therefore more serious. That is why the episodes when in the back pocket were emphasized. Should they be counted?

This whole thing about the bent phones and "people" projecting how badly phones will bend over the next......who knows, I find ridiculous. I got my iPhone 6, workers in my Apple store, in a flash, made my new phone look just like my old.....apps, contacts, iTunes, all that stuff that you want to be just the same. I just turned around and picked up a case for a little extra protection, just like I have done for all my other phones and this phone that I have is perfect. I use it all the time. It was a seamless transfer old phone to new phone. I have tucked the phone in my jeans and it slides into by purse nicely. I use it to listen to music, radio, to text and make phone calls. I have had no problems and I believe with all these phones that have been sold, this has been way overblown and the reality of the excellence of this phone will set in. In the mean time, these iPhones are flying off shelves, being sold on the "black market".......... They are going to be EVERYWHERE.
Sus.

Those with bent phones aren't prone to call/email Apple until they hear what the policy will be as it shakes out.

Where did you get that idea? If you ask me, those with bent phones who are smart have every incentive to call/email Apple immediately while the defective phone can still be returned (14 days).

So what percentage of people in the world do you think are smart? 50%? 10%? Even at 1% smart, we are talking about less than thousand incidents. Let's not get carried away with the sky falling yet again.

It will be slightly more than nine people asking for refunds/replacements.

Yes, slightly more than nine incident, I will grant you.

Anyway, the Verge has been granted access to the testing room. This is very reminiscient of antenna-gate, which, if I recall, blew over pretty quickly.
