Low oil prices make green transportation (EVs) less competitive. Solar and wind are for generating electricity, and shouldn't be affected by oil prices. Calif. utilities will have to be 33% renewable in 2020, whether oil is at $10 or $100. The entire country now has similar requirements, either at the state level, or behind the EPA.
