Do you eat peanuts with your diet?

I started eating maybe half a cup to a cup with shells on a day a few years ago when I heard they could be healthy. They are high in fat so calorie dense, but I find the time it takes to shell then eat somewhat relaxing as a snack watching TV at night.

Now it seems there is hard evidence they are very healthy snacks:

Summary:
Researchers have examined the association of nut and peanut consumption with mortality among low-income and racially diverse populations and found that intake of peanuts was associated with fewer deaths, especially from heart disease.
