To all:

We are short YHOO in a big way and added to the position today! I would like to ask a question to all out there on the internet, and that is how many ads have you click on the ad to see what it was all about? Up until last week I had only click on to one just to see what it was all about, then last week we look at a few just to see what all the hype was over YHOO and it's advertising, and we did not find anyting even entertaining as some TV ads are, to click on one again! I'm not sure where the money will be made to keep some of these free web sites open, but I believe it will not be from advertising! Just my opinion and would like to know if I'm missing something in how YHOO works!

Hank

You have to stare at them before you get your search results.

Not if you have two browsers open and you are reading E-mail, playing a game at the same time, listening to the TV in the background. My attention span on the Web is always fragmented when I am surfing. I only focus on content. On TV, I have to watch the ads unless I am in the kitchen during the breaks (though I watch most shows on the VCR and just fast forward).

McNabbs, I don't click on banner ads out of principle. I know they pay the freight for free sites, but for me they are just annoying. I screen them out the way I ignore ads in a newspaper when I am reading a story.

Just one person's experience. Those of us with smaller pockets will join the YHOO short brigade one day. Keep us posted when we can afford it.

Only a short squeeze can explain the current action in YHOO. Longer term, you might want to consider this:
