For discussion, isn't the main source of hydrogen from natural gas? Some indirectly from bio sources. If we have a breakthrough discovery, such as learning how plants extract hydrogen from water using just sunlight, well, that changes everything.

It's not pollution free, since it emits water. Water is Earth's most potent greenhouse gas. Whether it's fuel cells, lithium ion, CNG...anything to emit less NOx, CO, etc. is great. The CO2 doesn't bother me. I'm sure water vapor can be condensed. Can we recycle it for irrigation? Maybe 250 million cars/buses emitting water vapor is good, it'd be more humid and rain more in urban areas. I'm just thinking aloud. LOL!
