...It's no different than going through the barrio and rounding up the illegal immigrants themselves...

By God we rounded up all them Japs during WWII and sent them to concentration camps, and they were US. CITIZENS...I don't see why we can't do the same thing to those illegal Mexicans. But if you ax me, we should wait til after harvest time else we won't have any produce. No car washes either.

I don't like the idea of an employer being treated like a criminal just because he or she pays an employee under the table.

You don't like it when someone does something illegal and is treated like a criminal?
I also don't like how people think if you go after the employer with an iron fist, the illegal immigration problem will solve itself. That's incredibly naive.

I'm guessing you're talking about e-verify?

If so - simply requiring employers to use e-verify is not an "iron fist" and obviously it won't stop illegal immigration all by itself - but there is no single answer - it's cumulative effect of reducing incentives to come here illegally. To believe it has no effect is "incredibly naive".

It's no different than going through the barrio and rounding up the illegal immigrants themselves

Just head into any major city with a pickup truck on Saturday or Sunday - you can pick up all the illegals you want to deport in minutes on virtually every street corner or Home Depot.

Why would it be necessary to pay someone under the table? Is it because they are an ILLEGAL alien? Enforcing the law is enforcing the law. It's not a "big government" thing.
