Thank you for your inspired thoughts. I think you might be on to something, here. Though it does need fleshing out, and would, no doubt, require a great deal of coding. How does this sound? A ranked reputation account with point earnings based on Recs, for starters. Points would expire after 356 days, so each individual's ranking would be determined by their activity on SI during the most recent 52 weeks. Later, after establishing the points system, an ability to post transaction based challenges, denominated in guru points.

Dear deeno,

Are you aware that you can create portfolios, set shares and purchase prices in those portfolios, and embed those portfolios in public message posts (or subject introductions)?

Once embedded, the portfolios automatically updated with 15-minute delayed quotes. You must set the portfolio as Public to do so.

The post embed tag is displayed on portfolio page, once you have added some shares and set the portfolio as Public.
