Koan, Alaska had a windfall of oil money plus a very sparsely populated state. That is how they could afford to do the things they did. They are socialists without even acknowledging that that is what they are, lol. Most of the people up there would recoil in horror at a political candidate who said he is a socialist. He may as well say he is a rapist.

The rest of the country is not like Alaska. Or like, e.g., Norway, which has very similar circumstances as Alaska except the people there don't mind socialism.

I've no idea if that is true, but the US is not that state and not that country. You're actually arguing against yourself, and supporting my argument (so thanks for that.)

BS. What happened is that Alaska had a small population, and lots of oil (and other natural resources). I'm asking how you can make the liberal Utopia you dream of happen in the US today. We don't have infinite natural resources to plunder and waste unfortunately...
