Koan, Alaska had a windfall of oil money plus a very sparsely populated state. That is how they could afford to do the things they did. They are socialists without even acknowledging that that is what they are, lol. Most of the people up there would recoil in horror at a political candidate who said he is a socialist. He may as well say he is a rapist. The rest of the country is not like Alaska. Or like, e.g., Norway, which has very similar circumstances as Alaska except the people there don't mind socialism.

Koan- read your own words. You say you were in a sparsely populated state dominated by liberals.... I've no idea if that is true, but the US is not that state and not that country. You're actually arguing against yourself, and supporting my argument (so thanks for that.)
