Frank, Our sobbing about the stock price will be comming to an end today. Anyone out there with cash should buy TODAY !! I trippled up my position on the 24th (a little too soon, as it turns out). I bought with the knowledge that the market makers are going to let the stock drop. They know there is going to be tax loss selling. Why would they take a risk trying to hold the price up when they know that huge amounts of stock are being swept out of portfolios. Except for the fact that I've lost 25% since I averaged down on the 24TH, I look upon this two week period every year, as a time of finding bargains, (like I might expect to find in the polo shop at Marshall Fields, in January). Remember - the best time to buy straw hats is in January. Cheer Up !! HAPPY NEW YEAR !! C.S.Trecartin

Aatkinson (or anyone),
Do you have an opinion on the effect of warrent holders buying stock and then dumping it as a cause of the downturn....in reading the annual report one finds a lot of warrants out there, although I cannot fiture them out as to the effect they would have under this scenerio.

aatkinson,

I hear exactly what you are saying! Especially when there is good news and the stock heads south. That is the reason why we all are posting on this thread. To share the information in the hopes that we can find that little extra something that might help explain an unknown scenario as we are now experiencing.

The old adage, "sell on the good news" certainly seems to be appropriate as of late with ACMI. Dare we ask for some "bad news" to moderate the selling? (I think that is called playing with fire)

That comment about "buying the entire Company" certainly rings true.
One has to consider that if we realize the Company is cheap, other
potential suitors looking at acquiring a Company in this sector would also come to the same conclusion. All the more reason for AccuMed's
Management to want to raise the market-cap, unless they want to
become a division of a larger player. I don't think they want to lose their autonomy. Could happen. I have never really read any anti-takeover measure policies, have you?
