The Republicans are, I would imagine, are going to hear to well-reasoned explanation preset testimony like a machine. Comey is a genius, his testimony will be unassailable, and it will be over when the hearing ends. But NOTHING changes what he said the other day. It was scathing against Hillary, and he might as well have said, "YOU ARE DAMNED FOOLS IF YOU VOTE FOR THIS WOMAN." It was that much of a condemnation. Still, he was in a no-win situation. He would have been heavily criticized by the Left as being a Republican lackey had he gone the other direction. So, he decided to present as clear a statement as he could and hope like hell the voters had the good sense to avoid her in November. They won't. American voters are, after all, "idiots" according to Obama's advisers.

CJ, Are you saying that Comey, a Republican, is in the tank for Hillary? It's possible if he fears President Trump. But his motives are irrelevant. Anyone can see the huge disconnect between his criticism of the e-mail scandal and his decision not to recommend charges. Tenchusatsu

Based on this, EXACTLY, as well as no video, no oath, no transcripts. Who would operate that sloppily? I look at his involvement in Plamegate, in former N. IL USA, Patrick Fitzgerald’s (mentored by Comey, and godfather to at least one of his children) activities paving the way for Obama in Chicago by getting Rezko and Blago out of the way with no blowback on Obama, and, earlier, that episode when Ashcroft was in the hospital. Add to that one of Comey’s big promoters has been Chuck Schumer."
