If that turns out to be true, the major misses will be the rust belt states.


The thing is, she didn't miss by much in the rust belt states.

At the end of the day, we could say that it was a kind of greed and hubris that did her in. If she had focused more on those states--especially MI and PA, both of which she had at least some reason to believe she was vulnerable and both of which were important--in those last two weeks, she plausibly would have won in a squeaker. Instead, she directed attention to AZ and GA, two "luxury" states.

For bridge players out there, it is a little like going for a difficult grand slam instead of taking a much easier to get small slam. Generally speaking, that isn't a smart thing to do.
