I think the Electoral College now needs to go away.

It really doesn't serve its purpose any longer imo.

Our general population has no idea how & why these electorates get picked or how they are counted.
Does anybody here even know somebody who was an electorate?

Hillary wins the popular vote by 3 million but Trump wins the electoral college?

This is not one vote, one person.

I can understand why our general population is dazed & confused.

>> Is there someone out there who champions liberal causes who can realistically beat Donald Trump in 2020? <<

If not Elizabeth Warren, Sherrod Brown would probably be my pick for 2020, or maybe Tulsi Gabbard, though she's probably a bit young for her time to have come ... and there's doubtlessly others I'm not aware of, being an alien and all. <g>

Al Franken would also be excellent, but I don't know that he'd be electable ...

I think Tulsi Gabbard would be a shoe in after 4 years of Trump.

My main and only cause would be the politician who stays true to the people who backed him.
Not the billionaires whom Hillary represented.
Not a sell-out Obama, but a champion for justice, and I'm talking economic justice for all people.
There's no hope for the Democratic Party until the Clinton bosses are removed from power. I haven't seen even an attempt at a beginning. It wasn't the Russians or the FBI. It was Hillary.
Ellison is a Muslim. That ain't gonna work in this country's present condition. Once again, play right into Republican hands.
Where we're at right now:::::::::::::::::::::
So first let's hang Hillary, Pelosi, Schumer, Reed, Emmanuel,
Then I'll stay in the party.
