Not so Jay. Trying to drone a US helicopter is an act of war. If Mexico wants to militarily support illegal crossings to the point of war. It would be the biggest Blunder and self destructing move in history. Not only the illegals could then be shot but Mexico would endure sanctions and become a military target it self. Mexico cannot even defeat the cartels in it's own country.
What you are suggesting is tantamount to Tibet or North Korea attacking China.

The wall is to be constructed so as with the use of cutting torches and jack hammers it would take Approx. 1 hour to penetrate. It is also to contain sensors to detect breaching. Look at the contractor information. 30 feet wide, and six feet below ground. A lot of rolled wire across the top that can be extended well over the edge.

As far as boars the country is already infested with wild pigs and Javelinas which are arguably rather ugly animals and possess a rather unpleasant odor which is why some people refer to them as musk hogs.
Us dogs would be under control of field border agents. If the illegals bring counter dogs shoot them the moment they set foot on American soil.

Just because the wall is there doesn't mean homeland security goes on holidays. It is simply a tool which allows them to concentrate their efforts.

To say it can't be stopped is to say the US does not have the weaponry to do so. Everyone knows that is not true. Just have to have the guts to do it.

Boars are delicious. << attack dogs can be engaged by nastier counter-attack dogs and boars>> That might not be a good thing for Mexico to supply, free. Quite an industry could develop for cheap roast boar.
Asterix and Obelix would love it.

Per your and China's idea of shooting in the back people crossing the Tibet border in the snow, do you think a bounty for snipers shooting invaders would do the job? Maybe you are on to something. Or better still, the invaders could be captured and sold at auction as organ donors. It would not take long for invaders to get the message.

The attack on the USA you described would falter rapidly in the face of such defences.

As per videos from USA military aircraft in Iraq and elsewhere, people on the ground up to no good can be completely unaware of being observed from the sky and they realize there's a problem only when thousands of bullets arrive in a few seconds from the sky. Such aircraft could patrol the southern border and any attacks on the wall be dealt with quickly. The boars and dogs would wonder what the heck happened. So would the wire-shorting and cutting and wall-scaling invaders.

It would probably be more economic for little drones to fly the line, with teeny tiny guns on board for up close and personal incapacitation of invaders. They could fire tiny "tranquilizer" guns of varying chemical formulation depending on the situation/invader. A "wasp sting" would be sufficient to dissuade most people. But sarin might be needed for some.

DARPA must be loving the opportunity.
