><>...Peace to you Tom,and welcome...><> Sure is a great conversation going on, and you have contributed much to it. Some nuggets of truth in everyon's posts, and very interesting relationships to be made form current events as they relate to scripture. I believe that this forum will be very informative, especially to those who may not have the inclination to consider at all, the word of God! Especially as it relates to "Signs of the Times" and the return of our Lord. Evert thing any of us need to know is written in the word of God. We have an awesome Father and He did not leave us unprepared for what is ahead, and when we realize in truth, just what is ahead, we can Rejoice and be glad, because there is nothing for the children of God to fear. Even in face of the tribulations to come. We have his word . We are living in exciting times......Praise God! Tom you mentioned in one of your posts that there was no compelling reason why we should believe that Jesus will return in our life time Or in the next 1000 yrs. ( I hope I didn't misquote you, the post you said that in is not handy now)...but in any case it was something on those lines. I would just like to say this; It may be true that Jesus's return will not be in our lifetime depending on how much life we have yet to live, but as to the signs of the times, as they relate to "this generation" and all the signs taught to us by our Lord in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and much of Revelation, we are seeing them quite clearly, as no generation ever before us. Aside from all of the signs in which there might be some room for debate, there is one that is one heck of a bench-mark! That being II Th 2:3-4 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Here Paul is warning that no matter what you hear or see let no man deceive you, beacuse Christ is not going to return until 2/two events occur. 1. A falling away and 2. That man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition So we must ask, what is a falling away, and who is it that can fall away? Falling #646 646 apostasia (ap-os-tas-ee'-ah); feminine of the same as 647; defection from truth (properly, the state) ["apostasy"]: falling away, forsake. We find that it is a defection from the truth. Who can defect from the truth, except those who are servants of the living God------- Followers of our Lord Jesus. So what we have so far is, that before our Lord Returns christians will in mass, leave the truth for a lie, an abandoment of Christ and His truths...The word of God. Now some might argue, and maybe with good reason, that that is already happening. But what Paul is speaking of here is on a much grander scale. And you will see why as we get into the second event that must happen before the return of our Lord. And I might add that everything is in place for the second event to occur!....Jerusalem is our barometer! Nancy I will also get back to you on the 144,000.It is truly an eye opener. Also as to you comment on Levy's resignation (major role player in the peace talks)....Could this be the deadly wound? And Nancy please forgive me for addressing you in Tom's post, but time is of the essence for me right now, I hope you do understand. Tom I have to go now as I am very busy today and still yet probably until this weekend is over, but as soon as I am freed up with other matters of God, I will continue. I am overjoyed with the way this forum is going and I continue to ask all of you to stay in prayer with me in asking our Father for His continued blessings on us here. The discussions here are truly a blessing from God. Have a blessed day all of you Shalom...><>
