WOW!!! Worked long and late today. Come home to this NEWS, It doesn't get any Better. Talked to Helen Last nite about the CT article. told her it would be Great if some news on Backbone deals were announced.
We got the BIG one. And more to Follow.
She also said that we should have some decent tempest sales from Peter Thorton very soon.
Don't forget Folks, RAPID deployment. Fnet has been Stockpiling tempest for several weeks now. 2 hours for average set up.
WORLDCOM the Big gobbling Machine, FNET IPO's. Tempest A big Hit.
What would WORDCOM DO????? I love this kind of Dreaming!!!!!!
No wonder why there were so many WCOM reps at the NY Demo.
My head is Spinning, Gota have a Beer

Commando Temp -

Your statement below got me thinking about one more piece of the equation to consider:

"Bottom line is that after Frank spends 5 years developing this plan, why would he cut himself short. Franklin Internet doesn't need WCOM if its not a good deal for FNet. PERIOD!!!"

Today's press release is all about two things: timing and momentum. With this release, FTEL has fired it's official volley into the IP fray.

Timing:
=======
As pointed out in previous posts, there have been minor and major modifications to the 5 year plan. This has proved confusing and somewhat disheartening to those that have followed the thread long term. However, with today's release, FTEL has said it is ready to deliver its vision NOW!

Momentum:
=========
FTEL has to keep the momentum going in order to deliver a successful IPO that nets the minimum $100 million required to implement the 5 year plan. First, the favorable CT article. Then, the WCOM press release today. Helen has indicated there are more shells to be fired shortly. These releases will be properly timed and add fuel to the fire.

I believe the result will be that we will see FTEL/WCOM mentioned in articles that also refer to VOCLF, etc. This should by itself put upward pressure on the stock price that should get us to within shouting distance of the competition's double digits.

The the above happenings will result in FTEL leveraging a more favorable FNET IPO. I have discussed the IPO with Frank, and this is one area where he is very sensitive to not giving the farm away. We all have to remember, the FNET IPO is THE ultimate goal for all that is happening; if FTEL fails here and we become DODO fodder unless there is a Plan B.

On a final note, I found it very conspicuous that the FNET IPO was not mentioned in today's press release. It has been in the last several press releases. I don't want to send the thread goose hunting, but it does seem peculiar.

See everyone in the teens shortly (IMHO)!!

Maybe it's not all one-way. What about the possibility of WorldCom paying for the time WorldCom uses the DVG? I doubt if WorldCom is only interested in 'renting space' to FTEL.
