I really doubt that they will repurchase 10 million shares of stock.

Just because they announce a share buyback, doesn't mean they actually buy any shares-this is just a PR ploy.

Ask IR or yourself: How many shares were purchased under the
1996 program?

From June 96 to June 97 shares INCREASED from
100,896,000 to 101,246,000. So I would say no shares
were purchased under the program.

I would bet a year from now the amount of shares outstanding will be greater than 101,246,000 !
