I will say though that it seems that the way it works with two phone lines is that it drops a line on incoming phone calls, or outgoing for that matter, and then picks up again when it is free." I don't think that it's very easy to drop a line for incoming phone calls, if you're working with conventional "POTS" analog phone lines. The only way that the modem would be able to tell that one of the two lines was ringing would be (and this is hard, since you're using the whole tone bandwidth for the modem data) is to detect the call waiting beep. This feature is commonly available with ISDN BRI, where you have a separate D-channel to tell you that there is a call waiting. Of course, Jhild is also right that there are higher speed alternatives, like cable and xDSL, which seem like they'll be easier for most of us. Dick
