I deal with known facts....

From the studies, I've seen once a republican learns he's wrong he'll accept the truth for a short time and then revert back to his previous belief system within weeks. Their negative reinforcements are so strong they can't stay informed for any length of time.

You might want to ponder which "known facts" and which critical thinking processes produced that seemingly bald assertion...

I'd like to know what studies show that. I think most studies would show its completely impossible to persuade most Republicans they are wrong on much of anything. You could start with basic science for example. A majority of Republicans hold completely nonsensical views on the foundations of biology, geology, and for many of them, astronomy and physics as well. If they can do that, why do you think they will have informed opinions on softer sciences like economics and social science? They will believe whatever they want on those topics as well, and with the same steadfast claim that they are doing so based on logic and evidence, in the same way that logic and evidence clearly shows biological evolution is fake news, and that all of geology points to a global world wide flood only about 4000 years ago.

From the studies, I've seen once a republican learns he's wrong he'll accept the truth for a short time and then revert back to his previous belief system within weeks.
