Let's use simple examples of republicans not accepting facts. Trump said Obama was born in Kenya. What facts did he have to make that statement? None. Republicans are unique in their ability to ignore facts. In fact, they detest facts, especially if the facts is complicated (global warming, the ACA, gay marriage etc.). Give them a slogan like "repeal and replace" and they'll vote for republicans for a decade without one of them asking to see the actual replacement plan. Republicans need simple.

The polls on Kenya are prefect. They clearly show a majority of republicans believing a known lie and a lie that was not supported by any evidence. After Obama released his birth certificate they finally began to accept reality. Trump voters remained loyal to his lies. During the primaries, 80% of Trump voters either continued to believe the lie or accepted the lie as truth again. Their inability to accept reality is unique to them.

We can test this on every single subject. They demand budget cuts under Democrat presidents and accept massive deficits and spending under republican presidents. They had standards for Sec.Clinton and President Obama that they don't have for anyone in their own party (private email servers, lies about WMDs, deaths in Benghazi etc.). I doubt we'll have one republican blame a republican Sec. of State for a terrorist attack in Niger.

Actually, i-node here had a moment of Trump doubt, after Trump proposed 'a total and complete shutdown of all Muslims entering our country'. It lasted about two days, then he caught the caboose of the Trump train and never let go!
