I dont get this at all. Sildenifil has been sold in generic form for years. With Kaiser and other pharmacies the pill runs a buck per 20mg and is usually scripted: take 1-5 tabs.

I dont understand LOTS of things about our medical system.

I was just reviewing my Medicare Summary. You would not believe how crazy this stuff is.

Example: I had a biopsy done at a local surgical hospital.

The entire bill is itemized and the total amount charged was $14,180.59
The amount that Medicare approved was $13,933.00
The amount that Medicare paid was $1,503.40
The maximum amount I can can be billed is *$630.76

No wonder our health and insurance industry is so screwed up.

That $14k figure is what the poor sap w/o insurance is billed.

The amount Medicare paid is what their willing to provide the service for.

The biopsy probably took all of 10 min if that -- but they did put me to sleep.

* the $630.00 if billed will be paid by my supplemental insurance.

OH, and one final comment. Medicare is the best insurance I've ever had in my life.
