yeah, i figured that one out. :)

i'm the same way regarding processed foods
including my old favourites - pasta and bread.
funny how your palate can change if you give
it a chance. i used to drink skim milk and now
only full fat. in canada many dairy farmers feed
their skim milk to their cattle - that's about all its
good for.

i go easy on fruit because of their high carb content,
sticking mainly to berries. huckleberries and salal
berries grow in abundance here, so we pick a lot
during the season and freeze for the rest of the year.

vegetables are pricy during the winter due to
transportation costs, and are not of the best quality
either but our protein supply, on the other hand, is
excellent. fresh fish, crab in season, venison and one
of the local haida has free range beef. oh, and we keep
a few hens for eggs. :)

i wish i had been as knowledgeable about food years
ago. our respective governments did not serve us
well by touting the food guide as it stood for as long as
they did. sugar in particular got free rein and society is
now paying the piper.

I no longer consider it real food or even fit for human consumption... primarily pasta, breads, and anything with processed sugar in it
I am type2 diabetic. I am basically under control now but would like to know how you eliminated Breads from your diet. I am a breadaholic and tried eliminating bread but failed several times. I would like to know how you did it.
