You really want a country where we have the "immigrant police" roaming the streets checking to see if your papers are correct.

That's hyperbolic, seems to me, in the context of the discussion.

Do you not think that there are legitimate circumstances for checking one's papers? The federal government does that when people are moving from country to country, when boarding a plane, and when claiming government benefits. Is it a bridge too far to require employers to check when offering employment? If so, where do you see the line?

Do you have a drinking problem? I'm noticing a pattern with you.

When you post at night, you become hyperbolic, full of exclamations, and resortive to profanity and ad hominum attacks.

During the day, you respond to a post in a less emotional, more reasoned way. You also make more sense.
At night your posts are often confusing and absent of logic.

So I'm going to respond during the day.

<<It's profiling! Every legal immigrant has the same rights as you and I do.>>

The topic is illegal immigrants. Legal immigrants are not subject to ICE and are not profiled.

<<And what a bunch of horse shit that businesses can't control this. >>

Businesses don't always want to control it. That's the problem. Stay sober and think it through.

Businesses want all the cheap labor they can get. With illegals, they have it plus they can oppress those workers. It's up to the STATE to enforce e-verify. The state has to invite ICE in. Only then can immigration agents burst in and demand papers. Only then can illegal workers be deported and the business owner fined or shut down.

This is why we have the term sanctuary city or sanctuary state, etc. These are places that refuse to cooperate with ICE and refuse to enforce e-verify. Or do it selectively.

CA has a 23% rate of e-verify enforcement, which is very low compared to other states with 65% to 95% enforcement rates. My state of Arkansas has about a 66% enforcement rate. Behind that is a goal of protecting our African American population. GA, with a much larger black population and lots of black mayors and councilmen, has a rate of enforcement around 95%. It's a state trying hard to keep illegal Hispanics out of its workforce.

Instead of blurting out unfounded accusations of racism and/or gestapo tactics, always remember that Google is your friend and facts matter. Let me know if you find out what the rate of enforcement is in WA.
