The limit is when ICE pull people out of a crowd to check their "papers" because of a perceived nationality. How is that any different than pulling black teenagers over because they are black? It's illegal so how can you claim the argument is hyperbolic?

Of course the government checks your "papers" when you board a plane but they check EVERYONE. And they are checking papers for the purpose of safety. You don't need to show papers when riding a bus or a train. Katelew was arguing that the ACLU would be all over the employers for checking papers - but she wants ICE to do it randomly in a community. The dishonest irony here is appalling.
