Gary, in addition to the points you mentioned, can you comment on the international aspects at all? From what little I have observed/heard, a Japanese company sueing a Burmuda company over sales largely conducted in the US has some serious problems establishing a case venue where anybody cares. Collection on a suit between two US companies settled in US courts is a tricky enough business.

I bought some April 15 calls this morning, which is against my religion, but seems like a probability.

I must say the only thing that could be really bad is if the patent thing is over the virtual motion device which Radica says it has patent PENDING right now. Seems this is the key to the games and would be troublesome to me if this was the device/idea in question.
As for the shorting, sorry guys, with a company like FAHN they don't need no stinking shares to mess up a company's week or year. They are ruthless and another 3/4 million shares today. Heavy volume. Thanks Skipard.

I'm glad you feel this about the patents Gary and glad that you are speaking from experience. As for the company...I do know one HELLUVA lawyer who is practicing in Japan right now...and is the top biller for the entire firm, in the US or Japan and works like a maniac and counsels Yamaha etc...let me know David if his name is of any interest.

Went to the Target today and they had a 35 (7x5) SKU set up with 30 spots for Radica and Hasbro, mostly Radica.
2 slots for the new LUNKER ($19.95) in the normal play me plastic packaging which is different from the higher end version in the box ($29.95) which was at Sharper Image etc. They had 2 hangers for Bass Fishin' and 2 for Kids fishing. Great color and while shopping mother and son were looking em over and I said the kids game was great and she replied that her husband has regular Bass and loves it.
Couple of quick comments on the games, which now sport the friendly face and endorsement of Hank Parker. The Lunker now has directional casting...which translates into...if you see a fish jump to your right you can flick you wrist in that direction and the lure lands more to the right of the pole, not just straight ahead.
Lot's of poker, bowling, golf a slot for checkers. But just over from that were 4 more hangers for the night vision games...but they are EMPTY. The stockers said they were coming in slow and in small batches. When I was in before they also had a couple of slots for Deep Sea, but didn't see any tags or products today.
I begin to worry that the company isn't keeping up with the timely shipments of goods since, at least some of us felt, that during that last week of Christmas there weren't enough items coming in to stock.
I understand the past, and the retiscense of the company to make TOO MANY...but I will check into the other biggies here and see what they have to say.

Gary,

I also wonder how Japans current financial woes might influence a license deal. IE- they may be more willing to deal because they need the money now more than they would in better times. Also, how does the fact that RADAF is a China based company affect this scenario? China is not an easy place to do business if you don't have the right connections and I always thought Japan and China were never on the friendliest pf terms. Could RADAF simply thumb their noses at them? After all, Japan can't dictate where RADAF sells it's products outside of Japan or can they? I have no knowledge or experience in these matters so I'm groping for answers.

I've followed many company's in the past who have come up against supposed patent infringements like this and it usually amounts to nothing at all.
