Great Thread you folks have going - have read almost 100% of posts.

Stitch - what is the "petroleum subsidy"?

Also, what impact is this crisis having on consumption of oil in this region. Is Indonesia self suffcient? How much oil do they export, if any? Do you anticipate slight, modest or significant decrease in energy consumption?

Stitch, aren't you in Malaysia?? You know anything about that 'Mega' technology City they are building over there, forget the name,something 'Jaya' or the other. Is the construction still on or did they pull the plug on it???
