Zeev,
You have articulated some of my concerns very well. The terrain is a bit rough ahead, everthing for me looks pushed out six months or more. Wish I knew more about paper products!
Regards,
Ed

zh......where do you get your numbers from??? you just seem to make them up and post your bearish crap on many different threads.....this isn't the first time someones asked you about this....maybe all your post should be footnoted as just fantasy ......i think, supposedly,if,what kind of crap is that......you could just as easily said when the BTB drops to zero or so.....

alot of your posts are on threads that are for cheap under 5 buck stocks or gold and silver companies, very scary......, not the kind of companies that people do well trading....usually people who trade semi.equip. companies don't trade penny stocks........weren't you recently banned from SI ???

I think this is the time when the smart will use this as the perfect time to upgrade their fabs. Some very strong will build newer fabs but in general the strong usually take advantage of the weak when they are down. This is the time for Europe and the U.S. to take market share. I also feel the SEA area know this and will not let it happen so easily. Therefore they will find the credit or cash to keep up as best they can. They have the inner desire to always win the peace which means economically beating the west. So 98 and 99 are going to be great years for CYMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that this is the oportunity that U.S. lending institutions have been waiting for. This weakness over there will allow us more inroads into the closed and weak economies. The Banks (Citicorp) and capital lenders like GE capital will buy up weaker banks in SEA as well as make loans to companies that can meet our standards. When the dust settles the U.S. institutions will be even stronger.

Hi Zeev

Appreciate your postings. I agree something is fishy about the recent mushrooming in the Asian (especialy Japan) markets.

< The LDP has just floated a new baloon (responsible Thursday night for close to 1000 points advance on the Nikkei) of allowing Japanese financial institutions to revalue the real estates on their book and mark these to market, supposedly adding some 4 to 6 trillion yens to their assets (tax free) base. >

What is the LDP? Will this raevaluation have a delayed effect on the value of the yen? Is something rotten in Denmark?

What I find strange is that many of the SEA markets are trading at 52 week highs.
The crisis seems to be reflected in the currencies rather than markets.

Thanks again for your insights.

Tam
