Sigmund, Frank, Cary:

Have any of you received your check from AccuMed yet? We have been labeled as AccuMed's paid whores who are still cluttering ACMI board with mindless chit chat over on Yahoo.

messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

Sigmund, I am not sure how you got the honor of being included in this select group of ACMI's Whores.<g> I always thought of you as sitting up on my left shoulder whispering caution into my left ear while Cary was sitting upon my right shoulder whispering the latest results of his Fluff analysis into my right ear.

Sigmund,

NOWHERE in the single press release does it say 49%. All it says is that acmi will have at least 50%. My read on this is that as of the announcement, on the 14th,
Accumed had greater than 50%, based upon committments to date.

I disagree with your theory of efficient markets. If everything were fairly priced, stock price movements would be much more linear and less volatile.

Irrespective of institutional ownership in this stock, my observation is that institutional volume on a day to day basis is nil. This would indicate to me that it is just us amateurs buying and selling. The big money has not come into this stock yet.

Sigmund,

I certainly will not jump into the melee regarding valuations. The one thing that we can all agree upon is that given the current market valuation, if one wanted to sell immediately, he/she would only get the "bid" price offered Monday morning.

The question is, when will that bid and ask range increase? Given comparitive ratios/fundamentals of all players in this industry/sector, one could argue forever on the theory behind ratio analysis moving a stock price. However I think we can all agree on something that has far more impact to increase immediate share price value.

That being: What can be done in the immediate present to draw more attention to all the future accomplishments we have been told to expect? I will throw it up in the air, and then I'll duck. A token open-market, Company share buy-back.

It is one of the most favorable ways to SCREAM to the investment community that management is shareholder conscientious. The current stock valuation is near its low, and a "token" buyback will stimulate interest more then the impotent press releases of late. A share buyback is an "actual event" as opposed to the "words" of an announcement that may not be "recognized" for a few quarters. Think about it. The climate has never been better for management to consider it. If they want to convey the "shareholders are important", they "should evaluate it", especially in light of the newly announced (R&D) cost saving reductions and operational efficiencies. They leaned toward a reverse-split to reduce shares outstanding at one point (December '96). Now this way they can reduce shares......since profitability is said to be around the quarter.

This can serve as a proviso to hesitant perspective institutional buyers. Let's face it...little old ACMI shares don't look too attractive in "relationship" to some of the other great market buys that institutions can presently purchase. A share buy-back gets attention!! Like I said it doesn't have to be huge, <100K would work great. It's "selling the sizzle and not the steak". A buyback is an announcement to the investment community that the current share price is at a ridiculously low level, given recent new developments. Throw this on top of the recent insider purchases and other recent developments, and it should provide the additional push to break the "log-jam" in the current stock price. Let's face it, the low level stock price doesn't bode well to perspective institutional buyers who may be restricted from buying shares "of any company" below certain price threshholds.

Other companies that are still losing money on a quarterly basis do it as a gesture to the investment community and shareholders that they are a "shareholder driven company". Even if funds are limited, the affect could push the stock above the $3.125 price range that would allow for the warrant holders to exercise their extended warrants at. The new cash raised from the warrant sale could offset the initial cash outlay. Might as well do it while the stock price is low. I believe the extended warrants expire in March. The window of opportunity is still open till then. The reduction in shares would also have a direct positive impact on the quarterly financials.

A share buy back is only substituting cash for a reduction in shares. This maneuver is a way for shareholders to get rewarded now. I welcome any and all comments.

It seems that there are a lot of occasional posters reading this thread. Would you all please provide a little more input so we can all obtain more insight. Any input is better then no input. The same old five or six posters are constantly doing all the posting activity. We can also communicate via Email amongst ourselves, (It's called a posters-strike).

Please let's here some other input! Feedback and other ideas are always important for stimulation and growth. The new SI AccuMed Club House (we have been told to expect) will allow for a more relaxed off topic area for SI subscribers to post to. Perhaps that will allow you to test the water if you are nervous about your writing ability. I like to read also!!

We all know that AccuMed monitors this thread. Please voice your opinions and comments so they know how you feel. Isn't that why you are a paid-subscriber? Even a hey; "I think your nuts" is better then silence. I know you are out there. I can hear you breathing.
