Make mine aspirin, but with a red wine chaser, preferably a 1978 Zinfandel from one of my favorite Napa County vineyards. Now that's relief!

My information is that aspirin is less likely to give one stomach problems (and is more easily absorbed into the bloodstream and so works faster, which makes sense) if taken with red wine. Enjoy!

Holly,

Aspirin has it's side effects as well----BLEEDING. I take acetaminophen for aches and pains. I guess all in moderation.

As far as taking wine with aspirin, isn't that combining two blood thinners at once risky? I am not sure on that one.

Problem is most people think that over the counter drugs are safe. I think they are, but if you get a false sense of security because they are easy to buy, so they must be safe--NOT....but that brings up new issues.
