My read of the rules is that there are some things that are clearly banned and some that are clearly ok. For all the grey stuff, if it doesn't lead to a food fight, then it's ok - if not, Jim steps in.

No, it's not OK, but I'm trying to be more like the cop who pulls you over for being 5mph over the limit, but issues a warning instead of a ticket or worse... now that I see this discussion dragging on, I will go through all the posts today and may issue more bans this evening...
