We probably are talking about different things here! As you surmise, when things are relaxed I can imagine no greater pleasure than to teach my daughter something, even something that might be Important one day, and see understanding in her eyes. I am curious (worried?) though about how to deal with the conflicts which'll certainly arise. I do want to have a fallback position of Unquestioned Fional Authority, seldom used but always in reserve. Spouse is in overall agreement with my feelings as I've expressed them to her. We've mentally dry-run a variety of childrearing situations and are in very good agreement about objectives and methods. I'm lucky that way.

Christine... the Zipper Presidency. I'm counting on you and all the politically inclined women you can muster who either feel Clinton is being ambushed or that its a "so what" issue between he and Hillary to work out... so what if he's a womanizer, HG Brown admitted to a life of trysts as have so many others. Anyway * Here's the idea.. women across the country tomorrow are calling the newspapers, their local radio, TV and internet hot spots volunteering that they can't hide it anymore. They too were lovers of Bill Clinton. Thousands hit the news with confessions of having affairs with the head of state. A march on Washington, a national catharsis of having sexual interests... It'll work to make this morally righteous farce of zipper MaCarthyism get diluted to humor. I dare you get the ball rolling... a little effort... 1 calls 3, 9, 27, 81, 243, 729 ... in three days the whole country has slept with Bill.. before this turns into another media hustle like the OJ trial was.
