Have you driven a Tesla Model S, X or 3?
I'm no fan of EV cars taking over the road.
I've heard they have a ton more performance for the money than ICEs so even Global Warming skeptics like them once they get over range anxiety.

For me, I'll have 20,000 my 2011 BMW X3 tomorrow when I drive 2 more miles RT for yoga class. I clearly don't drive enough to justify paying for a battery as I'll be dead many times over before I pay for it with gasoline savings.

I might consider an EV Van in 5 or 10 years if I can still windsurf and it will drive me to and from windsurfing while I watch TV or read while it is fighting the hours of Bay Area traffic each way that now only take 30 to 45 minutes each way most days. Otherwise, my current van will probably work just fine.
