It's a freakin war out there in the CE stores. Recommended earlier (on here) that, once a year, Zenith should do a sales blitz, sending out every exec/engineer in Glenview to hit the top 2,000 CE dealers. Get the message out. "We pledge to deliver to you the finest quality products and service support." Exposure, service, coop advertising, partnerships for profitability...

I remember repairing them. They had funney plug in transitors. No soldering. I Still have mine. Remmember those slide style TV tuners where you had to adjust a white knob to tune in each channel what a piece of s--t!

flick> don't forget sunbeam just a recent turnaround. I do support Bobs statement on quality, but first Zenith needs to set in motion real Operational improvements, All the pr will not help at all if the margins are substandard..hey guys if your ops aren't in control the more you sell the more you lose...Rick P.S. by the way the Transoceanic radio by zenith(Multiband) was great , my dad had one, battery op. which I use to take up in the mountains and listen to a "the Voice of America " while I was in europe great quality great product
