Very well said Barry, I have believed for a long time that the Clinton's marriage arangement was strictly business. Clinton has been one of the better Presidents of recent and it's sad if true that his libido got in the way of pure common sense.

Barry, OTOTOT -- Clinton vs Lewinsky

While I echo much of your thoughts expressed in post #36303, I must say that, sadly, the question is no longer whether Mr. Clinton had an affair; rather, the real issue (to me and to those who do not view this merely as a soap opera) is whether he obstructed justice--either by coercing Ms. Lewinsky to cover up for him or by lying himself.

Decades ago, Mr. Nixon was driven from power for exactly the same reason: obstruction of justice.

PS: I said "sadly" because I had voted for Mr. Clinton, twice, in spite of his overstimulated endocrine glands.

Barry,
RE:<<As for Monica, she is a single adult, and free to do as she wishes as long as it was truly consensual and not by direct or indirect force.>>

Get real! When the most powerfull man on earth asks for a "b... job" in the Oral Office, it may be very difficult for a young girl to turn him down. Will the market dip severely or go up when Clinton leaves office? I think it should go up, as credit for the good economy goes to the technology industry leaders.

What a story for a woman to tell to her grandchildren! "The president & I"

RE:<<Finally, the one thing of which I am absolutely certain is that this whole affair (no pun intended) cannot be anything but a tragedy not only for Bill Clinton, but for the entire country. I know that many don't like Clinton, and will cheer his departure whenever it occurs, but I don't believe that this situation is going to have been in ANYBODY's best interest.>>

The tragedy that you speak about is that this SLEEZE BAG was elected and re-elected.

We have suffered long enough and I am planning a Clinton farewell party. Party will be held in San Diego on FIESTA ISLAND.

Stay tuned for Party Time to be announced,

Barry OTOT,
All this Clinton stuff is too distractive and renders the office of the President ineffective.
Can you say President Gore?
