Hi lh,

FWIW, Insurance rates for gulf coast property frontage have gone up substantially over the last 5 years.

My partner had a house on stilts in KIKI Island , Galveston. He sold it and said if you want to be on the water - you better get ready to pay for the insurance!

Insurer's have found they don't want property on the east coast or the gulf coast - it's expensive to rebuild.

The new codes are very expensive to comply with - but effective when done correctly.

Bob

2.1% Q4-2019 GDP

- GDPnow at the Atlanta Fed has 2.7% for Q1... hard to believe that with the COVID-19 slowdown...

Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased 2.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2019, according to the "second" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The growth rate is the same as in the "advance" estimate released in January. In the third quarter, real GDP also increased 2.1 percent.

The full text of the release on BEA's website can be found at: www.bea.gov/news/2020/gross-domestic-product-fourth-quarter-and-year-2019-second-estimate
