I've been a Republican since I learned to think & could see the likes of Kennedy, Jackson, Clinton, Gephardt, etc. stealing the poor blind. Study some history and you, too, will see. Think about it, don't just react to what feels good. The easiest thing in the world is to be a liberal and tell everyone else what to do with their hard-earned money. I've worked 3000 hours per year for 30 years achieving my life dreams, and I resent someone voting my financial future & my childrens' future so they can buy political tenure and votes from poor suckers they have brain-washed into believing that the Gov't will be their mother. Just keep watching & understanding the news. Ask yourself why our form of Government has been able to withstand 200+ years of all kinds of nimcompoops in high office. Just to save you some trouble: its because of individuals busting their butts to make life better for their families and VOLUNTARILY sharing their success with those less fortunate. Sharing is a PERSONAL thing, not to be dictated by a bureaucrat, or anyone else, for that matter. The Gov't should perform as a referee to make sure the rules are followed (Imagine Clinton as the chief law enforcement official ???!!!) but without any influence on the outcomes. Socialism tries to determine the outcomes & it has proven its merit in EVERY instance where it has been tried. Watch what happens in the European socialist states over the next 10-20 years. Dave Walp
