Ah, Janice, your comments have made me feel wistful and nostalgic for my happy days in the corporate world. The repartee was great fun and the workday went swiftly. I heard many jokes and told them to others, and there was comradery in the workplace. On those seemingly rare occasions when things went beyond the limits of good manners, so to speak, what you say worked for you also worked for me. But, alas, I know now that I was foolish in my failure to see this for what it really was--sexual harassment. I did not realize at the time that I was being victimized and subjected to sexual harassment and that my suffering was worth at least six million dollars. Alas, the statute of limitations ran out long ago. Holly

Janice - I've read a number of your responses on this thread and noticed that you've refused to extend Ms. Lewinsky the status of a quivering, pathetic, helpless victim. I find the consistency of your viewpoint refreshing and unfortunately, it is one that has seldom been expressed by the popular media. Maybe someday society will start to regard women as grown adults instead of helpless children, and hold them accountable for their decisions/actions in the same way that men are expected to be held accountable. It would at least be a step towards a greater mutual respect in our society. Thank you for taking the time to respond. TB
