Hey Fred, You neglected to mention LadyBird's ownership of a big part of TIGER AIR, they were a major cargo and troop hauler from the left coast to Nam as I recall. But what the heck its just another dirty job and somebody's wife gotsta own it.

JFQ:
To all the millions of US Military people who
have been sent off to foreign shores for years at at time,
or manning the ships and subs with no sign of a woman in sight,
having a dis-functional family in the White House must be discouraging, and to have Mr.C in the position of Commander In Chief of our armed forces appalling.
Mentally and morally the military (generals, etc ) will have to
consider themselves to be working for tradition, the US citizens,
and their families, and keep Mr.C out of the chain of command.
In WW11, when Roosevelt died, military morale vanished.
This military still needs some respected person such as Bush, Dole, C.Powell, Swartzkoff, not nescessarily as president, but at least in a visible position in Washington.
My 2 cents
Sig

JFQ,

Having served with the 101st Airborne Division, the first air assault along the northern border in the mid 60's, I appreciate your post. I salute you, your father, and all your family.

JFQ--I never had any sympathy for Communist governments--but IMO, there was no need for American boys to be in Vietnam. It would have been better to let them work out their own politics.
