Without knowing the demographic makeup, health, and weights of Zelenko's patients, it's hard to know the effectiveness of HCQ on his patients relative to other treatments, IMO.

The one place we know that has done antibody studies in Germany shows about a 0.39% death rate in that hot spot. Zelencko's is about half of that. How much is due to demographics, health, and weights of his patients? Also, do his patients vape or have a history of having done so? Vaping is thought to be a major factor in hospitalizations for younger patients.

Conned is probably too strong. But the models developed by the infectious disease experts were not just off by a little bit, they missed the mark by an order of magnitude.

Do you think they prefaced their dire reports with the cautionary warning that their confidence level was only at 5% (your mileage may vary)?
Not likely.

Northern Italy had very unique circumstances such as:
- a large percentage of very old seniors who were in poor health
- many of the men were lifetime smokers
- frequent travel between China and Italy (Chinese workers in most factories)
- airports were not shut down until it was way too late have any effect on the importation of the disease
