I see, thanks for clarifying. That makes sense, e.g. instead of 'flaming out' after a year of intense viral activity and being relegated to the nether regions from which human kind can never been infected again, instead mete out a few percent infected year after year after year. I did see that about the doctor in NY. No different than Vietnam vets who committed suicide later. I still remember the day it was announced that more vets had died from suicide than died in the war. Thankfully, there haven't been a lot of intense hot spots (war zones) for this virus, the effects to keep that from happening have mostly been successful so far. By the way, did you see the blub about the twins, killed by the Spanish Influenza (one) and the COVID-19 (the other). Remarkable. I told my wife a few weeks ago that there must be at least 1000 people on the planet who HAD the Spanish Flu and were around to get the next big thing... nytimes.com
