Bette Midler Deletes Call for China to Pay Coronavirus ‘Reparations’Kevin Winter/Getty Images

Actress and singer Bette Midler appeared to agree with her arch-nemesis Donald Trump Friday — for a few hours, at least.

Midler blamed the coronavirus pandemic on China’s Communist regime from her verified Twitter account, then later deleted the post without explanation. She citied “Chinese negligence” for the spread of the virus and demanded that Beijing pay “reparations” for the devastation it has caused countries around the world.

“Is it too early to ask China to pay #reparations to the many nations around the world who lost millions of people, and whose economies crashed, due to China’s negligence?” she wrote, using the hashtags #Labs and #WetMarket.

“The rest of us are struggling mightily, while China steps over the rubble…” she said.

Bette Midler’s words echo those of former president Donald Trump, who has repeatedly held China responsible for the pandemic. During the first presidential debate in October, the president said, “It’s China’s fault. It should never have happened.”

During his address to the United Nations last year, President Trump called it the “China virus,” while blaming Beijing and the World Health Organization for failing to take the necessary steps to halt the virus’ spread.

Midler has been one of Hollywood’s most vocal anti-Trump activists, using her social media platform to regularly blast the president, who she has called a “ racist criminal.” At one point, she even blamed the president for the country’s coronavirus deaths, calling him a “murderer.”

Celebrities and other entertainment elites are under pressure to avoid saying negative things about China as major Hollywood studios are increasingly depending on access to the Chinese market to turn a profit on blockbuster movies and to grow their bottom lines.

Midler did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Breitbart News.

DemoKKKrats in Congress are about to ban Voter ID
and signature matching, while enshrining unverified
mail-in voting, election day voter registration, and
ballot harvesting.

Never before have national voting rules been imposed.
Our system is voting by 50 individual States, keeping
the power of the vote closer to the voter.

Pa. you are correct the legislators have a republican majority. However, before the elections blew up conservative radio asked the speaker why they didn't dispute the governor implementing extended mail in voting etc. The speakers statement was why bother we file an objection to the state supreme court and they will reject it. the state supreme court is run by seven democrats and one republican.

in pa. seven justices of the supreme court, 15 judges of the superior court and nine judges of the commonwealth snf 439 judges of the court of common pleas are selected in an identical manner. they run in partisan primaries followed by general elections in which the primary winners from each party compete.

elected judges serve 10 year terms after which they must run again.

it would seem to me the major problem is to take over local elections by running strong people for these positions. as you can see they may take several years!

since the supreme court will not take a position hearing on voting we are in a tough position to enforce i.d. requirements and stop mail in voting.

if the democrats control the department of justice, chief of police, etc in this cities i do see how we can expect any changes in our system in the states that elected biden……

i was looking for suggestions on how the republican party can prevent being locked out of voting places like in philly etc.
