Over 50 years ago I was convicted of a felony. I believe that precludes me from legally owning a fire arm.

It would be nice then if everyone was convicted of a felony....

Depends on the state.

In Louisiana a felon can own a gun after a 10-year "cleansing" period. Some statements restore the right as soon as "debt to society" is paid.

You should never give Brumar personal information, he will hold that felony information like an elephant holds a peanut. He will brood and obsess over it and imagine the worst crimes. There are no waivers from Brumar’s hellish brand of couch Christianity.
