Every one pretty much back to normal in Florida panhandle.. Only employees wear masks. About 95% of population unmasked. Still have to wear to medical facilities or doctors office.

Nobody wears a mask here except for the extremely old people. Not much of anything changed here. At the peak of the first wave, school went to online only for a month or two and maybe 60-70% wore masks at the store. Restaurants have stayed open except for a few national chains like Pizza hut which did away with indoor dining. For the last 6 months or so though, things are the same as precovid.

In the last five months I've been in Northern California, Florida, Missouri, Virginia and now back in Northern California.

Today at Costco and Safeway, everyone is still wearing masks. Walking from their car to the market entrance, they're all wearing masks.

I've been outside Ca a lot in the past five months, so I think it's ridiculous. I carry my mask from the car, and then perhaps put it on while I enter a store, but just because everybody else has theirs on. Nobody in Missouri and about half in Virginia were wearing masks outdoors. California people are going to be 2-3 months behind the nation in coming out of pandemic behavior.

GTA in Ontario went into lockdown a few weeks ago. Last Friday they relaxed the rules a bit and now outdoor activities, including patio sittings are open. Non-essential stores are open at partial capacity. Everyone is still required to wear masks indoors, so we can't judge how much of it is voluntary. I can tell you that the people can't wait to be outside. Everyone is tired of this and there is a lot of pent up demand for it.

PS You are playing it smart. I agree with your approach.
