Do they want power, yes, and do they pander to Wall street, yes, but they are Democrats nevertheless and do not want the Republicans to get power. You are over your skies here. <, So, here's what I think is going on. Pelosi and Schumer are very rich men. They don't want to commit the country to spending trillions on what Americans say they want. They want republicans to get power so spending collapses and they get more tax cuts. <<Message #481041 from Jamie153 at 10/8/2021 12:59:54 PM Look at Biden's poll numbers AFTER Pelosi's investigation into Afghanistan. Before the hearings Biden was in the 50s again and all the polls were heading in the same direction. Pelosi saw this and sprang into action with everyone on the committee praising the general who refused to follow Biden's orders to leave that god-forsaken country on time. The job of a general is to say, "yes sir" and then do it. Period. Not whine about the president ignoring HIS "orders." Biden won't recover from what Pelosi did. A majority say he's not fit for the job. Now look at insurrection. She did one hearing, put the House into one vacation after another, then they come back, attacked Biden and still no more hearings on the insurrection. They could have sent out subpoenas before going on one vacation after another but that would mean they'd have to work and the one thing Pelosi taught them is never ever do their jobs. So, here's what I think is going on. Pelosi and Schumer are very rich men. They don't want to commit the country to spending trillions on what Americans say they want. They want republicans to get power so spending collapses and they get more tax cuts. As far as Schumer, that man is equally incompetent. He gets absolutely nothing from McConnell in exchange for Dems providing all the debt ceiling votes which will then be used against us in the next election. He should have demanded republican votes or default on the debt or a law that extends the debt ceiling indefinitely. Whatever Schumer and Pelosi once were, this is who they are now. They stick knives in our presidents back and you think this is how it's supposed to work.
