Which makes me wonder why these folks with boots on the ground are seriously looking at options. Perhaps an over reaction

You are right, Chile is nothing like Venezuela and Boric is nothing like Chavez or Maduro. My daughter in Santiago is very happy about the election result and optimistic about Chile's future. Her Chileno husband is more cautiously optimistic, recognising the huge challenges that Boric faces.
