Pieces EV platform (s) are on their way.. BB has IVY, that is being rolled out with AWS, to be unveiled at CES.. Their QNX Hypervisor and RTOS has been selected by 24 out of 25 (minus Tesla) EV OEMs etc. For now, except for small group of shareholders, I don't think much of it is being given any credit by Analysts..

So we'll see where we go.. Some of the BB links..

blackberry.com
blackberry.qnx.com
blackberry.qnx.com

Disclaimer.. I own a tangible position in BB so there is that..

PC’s didn’t become ubiquitous in corporate America until IBM created a safe mass market machine with open architecture and Microsoft created safe, boring but productive software.

If Tesla is the Apple of the EV space, who will be the IBM?

Tesla stock is priced as if they are going to replace the entire care industry single handed. But where will they get the capital to build out the large scale manufacturing necessary to do that? I think a reasonable end game is that ultimately Tesla licenses their software and lets everyone else worry about manufacturing. If that’s the direction, then Tesla is likely overvalued by a two or three handle factor. But it will be a long time until the picture becomes clearer.

Great timing!
Anyways, back to EV. I am surprised that nobody has made a business creating and selling EV operating system. It will be interesting to see if in the future we'll have Tesla compatible EVs and the like similar to Android and iPhone standards.

Well, ask and Intel/Mobileye delivers with a system on a chip! Message 33647278
