Denis,
Is the p/b ratio the price of the stock compared to the book value of the stock?

Mark

I traded my shares this past week so I have no position as of Friday
other than some Feb Calls which are now probably worthless. Your list raises some interesting points relative to the rest of the sector.

AMAT's earnings IMHO are the linchpin here. If they have any negative comments we're going down. If they positively spin the CC we'll see another upleg.

Due to the recent secondary, SFAM is in probably the best cash position of anyone in this sector and that will bode well if we need to weather a protracted downturn. The company's parking lot is packed, the R&D facility is moving forward and in 12-18 months SFAM will emerge unscathed.

I decided after the news on Friday that I will no longer trade this stock, I plan to buy it as low as I can and forget I even own it.
I'll wake up at the turn of the century and have tripled my money.

Dennis:

WJ has a price/book ratio of about 1.0. They now have two divisions: "WJ designs, develops and manufactures semiconductor manufacturing equipment and subassemblies and transceivers for wireless communications." The Semi-equip division is about twice the wireless in terms of sales. PSR is under 1.0.

I own a little, pretty much due to these favorable ratios. The earnings picture has not been so good. For what it's worth.
